David Halberstam 1934-2007Halberstam was a great journalist, writer and chronicler of our times. At 30, he won a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting in Viet Nam, later covered the other side of the war in The Best and the Brightest, and also crafted a lesser known book that is among may favorties on American history.
